A series of environmentally themed short films produced by young college students from across China was recently screened at Beijing Normal University's Zhuhai campus. Crafted through the lens of young creatives, the films are a powerful declaration of the students' commitment to sustainability ahead of World Environment Day on June 5.
The winners of this year's Refound Project will be announced on June 10, at an event called Original Creation Night, part of the 32nd College Student Film Festival.
The Refound Project is part of the College Student Film Festival's original film selection unit. Since its inception, the project has been committed to fostering connections between young filmmakers and environmental causes.
One of the winning films from last year's edition, "Guranay," was screened on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in 2024.
The Society of Entrepreneurs and Ecology Conservation (SEE) is also involved in this film project, seeking to discover outstanding young teams from around the world and encourage them to tell environmental stories through a vivid and dynamic visual language.
